I believe that what is worth doing is worth doing good. It is important to always do what is right and not just do things for eye service (Pollock, 2019). The officer did a poor job just to make the woman feel safe and not to do his job appropriately. His decision might have caused harm to the woman and her family. Officers must be aware that fugitives will do everything to evade justice and apprehension. Hence, the officer should have searched the house thoroughly at the least to ensure that the fugitive was found and apprehended. It would have saved his team precious time and prevented them from wasting efforts at searching unnecessary places.
